Cycle Racing
Cycle Racing
If the race involves a bicycle, then it falls under the category of cycle racing.
Track cycling
It is a bicycle racing sport that typically takes place on specially-built banked tracks called velodromes. There are still events that are held at the older type of velodromes in which the track banking is shallow compared to the ones developed today. Track racing is also plausible on grass tracks. This kind of track cycling is a regular summer event in England as well as Scotland.
Road bicycle racing
It is a bicycle racing sport which takes place on roads while the participants ride on racing bicycles. It is sometimes called as road racing. The goal of the sport is for competitors to start at the same time and the first one to complete the course emerges as the winner. This is famous in European countries such as Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, and Switzerland.
Mountain biking
This is one bicycling racing sport that does not involve specially-developed tracks or flat roads. Participants ride their bikes over rough terrain so it is a must to use the hybrid road type which has wide, knotted tires with large, round frame tubing and dual suspension shock absorbers. Mountain biking can be classified into these divisions: downhill, freeride, and cross country.
